About the Opportunity
The Corporate Events Manager plays a strategic role within Ellucian’s Corporate Events Team, partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, and senior stakeholders to maximize the business impact of Ellucian’s presence at key higher education events. The Corporate Events Team is responsible for the strategy, planning, and execution of Ellucian’s presence at higher education industry conferences, as well as the delivery of Ellucian Live, our flagship user conference. The Events Manager will own a portfolio of industry events while contributing to large-scale programs, including Ellucian Live, with a particular emphasis on ROI reporting, event capture, and executive-facing insights. This role goes beyond execution—focusing on measurement, impact, and decision support to inform where and how Ellucian shows up in the market.
Where you will make an impact
- Own end-to-end planning and execution for a portfolio of industry events, collaborating with key stakeholders to evaluate event participation, sponsorship agreements, and on-site footprint decisions.
- Lead planning discussions, manage event budgets, and develop executive-ready event briefings, including objectives, strategy, and post-event outcomes.
- Work with Operations, Marketing, and Sales to understand and improve event capture, ROI, pipeline influence/attribution, and post-event reporting models.
- Translate event performance data into clear insights and recommendations for leadership, informing future investment and footprint decisions.
- Support critical Ellucian Live workstreams, including Breakout Session Content, Sales Engagement, and Event Measurement.
- Ensure visibility and coordination of Calls for Proposals across the event portfolio, working with stakeholders to ensure event programming supports broader messaging and strategic goals.
- Act as a trusted and influential representative of the Corporate Events Team when engaging with executives, internal partners, and external event organizers.
What will you bring
- Demonstrated experience managing industry events or large-scale conferences, ideally within higher education technology or serving higher education audiences.
- Strong background in event measurement, ROI analysis, and executive reporting.
- Proven ability to partner effectively with Sales and Marketing teams to connect events to pipeline and business outcomes.
- Comfortable engaging with senior leaders and executives, with a polished, credible presence.
- Highly organized, analytical, and able to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
- Experience working in complex, cross-functional environments preferred.
- Proficiency in Salesforce; experience with project management tools (ex. Monday.com) and event platforms (ex. Rainfocus) desirable.
