About the Opportunity

Throughout the program, you'll contribute to meaningful projects, gain exposure to how teams collaborate, and explore your interests as you begin shaping what's next in your career. You'll be supported by your manager, dedicated project guides, and a structured mentorship program, as well as a broader intern community designed to help you learn and grow.
Additionally, you will participate in executive Q&A sessions and "day-in-the-life" conversations with intern alumni & leaders across our organization, offering insights into career paths at Ellucian - many of which began through this very program.
- Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Use Bitbucket for version control, code reviews, and branch management.
- Contribute to Infrastructure as Code development using Terraform.
- Support deployment of automation and AI services into AWS environments.
- Help configure and manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, and VPC components.
- Participate in environment provisioning, release management, and deployment validation.
- Support monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting of deployed solutions.
- Collaborate with developers and architects to ensure secure and repeatable deployments.
- Maintain documentation for deployment patterns, environment setup, and operational runbooks.
- Apply Agile practices and use Jira to track work and sprint progress.
- Academic background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Foundational understanding of cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
- Exposure to DevOps concepts such as CI/CD, version control, branching strategies, and automated testing.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts.
- Basic understanding of Linux systems and networking fundamentals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins and Bitbucket.
- Exposure to Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Experience working with AWS services through coursework or projects.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Exposure to containerization concepts such as Docker.
- Awareness of cloud security best practices.
- Practical experience deploying AI and automation solutions in enterprise environments.
- Real-world DevOps and cloud engineering exposure.
