About the Opportunity
- Provide advanced system administration and operational support for cloud-based environments.
- Monitor infrastructure health and performance, ensuring adherence to internal and external SLAs.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to streamline operations and reduce manual tasks.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of self-healing and auto-recovery solutions to improve incident response and uptime.
- Participate in on-call rotations and assist in root cause analysis and problem management for critical incidents.
- Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, DevOps, and Application teams to support deployment, monitoring, and scaling of services.
- Enhance observability by contributing to the development and adoption of monitoring and alerting tools.
- Document operational procedures, runbooks, and best practices to improve team efficiency and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies, learning best practices and contributing constructively.
- Debug and troubleshoot technical issues, both in development and production environments.
- Write clean, maintainable code with appropriate documentation and unit/integration tests.
- Learn and apply design patterns, system architecture principles, and best practices for performance and scalability.
- Ensure adherence to security standards, accessibility guidelines, and compliance requirements.
- Embrace and contribute to the team culture of knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and mutual respect.
- Mentor junior engineers and share expertise through code reviews, knowledge sessions, and documentation.
- Demonstrate curiosity and aptitude for leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and problem-solving.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure, system administration, or DevOps roles.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, or similar.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Understanding of REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and modern application architectures.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), Agile methodologies, and cloud environments is a plus.
- Solid understanding of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a focus on performance and reliability.
- Ability to communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and learn quickly.
