About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Accountant to provide direct support to our Latin America operations across a wide range of tasks. This position requires a proactive individual capable of operating independently with sound judgment and minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will demonstrate agility in adapting to changing demands from various internal departments, ensuring consistently high-level performance.
Where you will make an impact
- LATAM Operations and Accounting Support Responsibilities
- Maintain a detailed understanding of Latin American operations across all departments to ensure efficient administrative execution and overall business performance.
- Provide support in the administration and day-to-day operations of LATAM accounting firms.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes for both U.S. and LATAM entities, including reconciliation of local books.
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain and update fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Generate and review financial reports for accuracy
- Enter and maintain accounting data in SAP and manage intercompany billing.
- Act as liaison between in-country service providers and internal corporate teams.
- Audit employee expense reports to ensure compliance with company policy.
- Support internal and external audits; assist with payroll and tax-related processes.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends or irregularities
- Provide coverage for various LATAM accounting tasks during periods of employee absence.
What you will bring
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in accounting and administrative operations, supporting both daily functions and month-end close processes.
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments by independently managing diverse responsibilities and adapting swiftly to shifting priorities.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong critical thinking skills that support accurate financial analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive approach and a sense of urgency in building collaborative relationships across departments and geographies.
- Demonstrated flexibility and reliability in providing cross-functional support to various business units and projects.
- Adept at juggling multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining precision and meeting deadlines consistently.
- Exceptional computer skills, including intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, SAP, and other business applications.
