Position Title: Senior Manager of Human Resources & Operations

Position Type: Full-time Role

Compensation: $90K

Location: Downtown Miami, (hybrid role, in-person work required 1-2 days)

Start: September 2025

About America On Tech: America On Tech’s mission is to prepare the next generation of technology leaders from underestimated communities. To date, we have worked with 5,000+ young people, provided them with our tuition-free courses, and helped provide work-based internship and learning programs to promote the advancement of underestimated students into technology pathways. Founded in 2014, AOT’s work has been featured in Forbes, CNN, Univision, TechCrunch, BET and other leading outlets.

Who We Are Looking For: ​We are currently looking for a Senior Manager of Human Resources & Operations to join our team full-time. This person will report to the President to ensure AOT is operationally sound from a human resources and operations perspective. This role is for someone who enjoys human resources, compliance, operations, and strengthening processes for a growing organization.

Human Resources Management (40% of time):

  • Lead all aspects of people, culture, and talent management, including screening & hiring, onboarding, performance management, conflict resolution, professional development, and offboarding

  • Manage and ensure the on-boarding of employees and contractors onto payment systems

  • Manage and ensure timely processing of payments/reimbursements to contractors and staff by managing one Part-time Operations Managers

Compliance and Policy (30% of time):

  • Ensure compliance with government regulations (employment, charitable registrations, and more)

  • Oversee insurance portfolio and needs including workers compensation, director’s insurance, etc.

  • Help enhance internal controls to ensure efficiencies of human resources and operations

Infrastructure & Supplies (15% of time):

  • Manage the ordering and delivery of hardware and software for staff and contractors throughout the year

  • Manage organizational licenses with vendors and suppliers by managing one Part-time Operations Managers

Operations (15% of time):

  • Collaborate with Leadership team to assist on projects/deliverables where needed

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Education or Nonprofit sector

  • Experience with Gusto, TriNet, Quickbooks, Bill.com, Google suites, and Salesforce

  • SHRM or other HR recognized certifications

  • Eager to strengthen and build out processes and functions

Hybrid Work Environment & Schedule

AOT is a hybrid organization. Staff work remote from home and from their local office on Tuesdays, with additional in-person days depending on your role. We maintain standard business hours, and team members are expected to be online and available during the workday / set business hours.
