Who We Are Looking For:
AOT is seeking a mission-driven and entrepreneurial Southeast Regional Program Director to lead the strategic growth and implementation of our high school programs in the Southeast. Based in Atlanta, this individual will oversee the regional expansion of AOT’s programming into Georgia while also managing the continued success of our program in Miami.
The ideal candidate is energized by building new initiatives, passionate about youth development and equity in tech, and confident in both launching local programs and managing remote team members. In the first year of expansion, this individual will directly manage student cohorts and facilitate programming while helping establish and grow school and community partnerships. Over time, the Regional Program Director will grow the regional team and infrastructure, driving AOT’s mission throughout the Southeast.
The Southeast Regional Program Director will report to the National Director of High School Programs who is based in Miami.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Management & Delivery (Atlanta Focus)

Lead the execution of AOT’s TECH360 and Tech Flex Leaders programs in Atlanta to ensure high-quality, mission-aligned delivery.

Facilitate program sessions and events (ongoing) and manage student cohorts (during the first year of programs) to ensure strong student experiences and outcomes.

Manage all logistics related to in-person and hybrid programming including schedules, venues, technology, and volunteers.

Oversee student enrollment, retention, and engagement targets.

Develop a positive learning environment and manage student success strategies in collaboration with instructors and peer mentors.

Act as primary point of contact for Atlanta-based student cohorts and stakeholders.
Team Management (Regional Scope)

Provide remote management and coaching for the Program Manager in Miami, ensuring program quality and alignment with national goals.

Support team development through regular check-ins, clear goal-setting, and collaborative problem-solving.

Help standardize practices and build cross-site collaboration between Southeast locations.
Regional Expansion & Strategy

Work closely with the National Director of High School Programs and VP of Programs to develop and execute the Atlanta expansion strategy.

Conduct landscape scans, build community relationships, and represent AOT at local events and partnerships.

Offer on-the-ground insights to help shape scalable, sustainable programming across the region.

Serve as a local ambassador for AOT, raising visibility and strengthening our regional network.
Program Evaluation & Reporting

Track regional program metrics and outcomes to support evaluation and decision-making.

Analyze student progress, participation, and satisfaction data to recommend improvements.

Provide regular updates to national leadership with highlights, learnings, and KPIs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Contribute to national team conversations around curriculum, tech tools, and best practices.

Share insights from the Southeast region to improve AOT’s programming across all sites.
Qualifications:
Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in education, nonprofit management, or a related field.

4-6 years of experience in program management, youth development, or education, including experience managing people or remote teams.

Experience working with high school students, ideally in underrepresented communities.

Skilled at managing hybrid and in-person programming with strong attention to logistics and detail.

Confident facilitator, able to lead program sessions and build rapport with students.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
-
Comfort managing remote staff and navigating cross-site collaboration.

Proficient in digital tools including Google Workspace, Zoom, and CRM systems (Salesforce a plus).

Commitment to equity in education and advancing representation in technology.
Preferred:
-
Familiarity with the Atlanta education landscape and local community organizations.

Background in tech/STEM or instructional design.

Experience building new programs or launching initiatives from the ground up.
Work Environment & Schedule:
-
Must be based in Atlanta, with flexibility for occasional travel to Miami starting in 2026.

Hybrid schedule with at least one in-office day per week (starting 2026) and occasional in-person programming beginning Fall 2025.

Work hours for this role are 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM EST during school year programming.

Some additional evening or weekend hours may be required during peak program cycles.
